This
site has its roots in an older, simpler web page that went
on-line in 1996 on
Angelfire. My own two-year Pohnpei experience was so life-affecting that I felt I needed to share
the island in some
way with other people. Having now spent much time researching deeper and deeper into
everything I could find related to Pohnpei, I've created this site to eclipse the older one. Since I have
a few other responsibilities in life (exactly three), it has taken time
(years) and will take longer (centuries) before everything I've collected is on-line. I
hope to add things from time to time as I'm able.
This site is
intended for everyone; adventurers, travel enthusiasts, budding
anthropologists, homesick Pohnpeians living overseas, web surfers,
etc. I've tried to make it as holistic an information source as I
can, and I've done my best to make things as accurate as possible.
Without a doubt, there are errors in design and/or content. For these I can
only humbly apologize and hope that the purpose of the site will endure
unhindered. If errors are encountered, feel free to notify me (in
the case of misinformation, please send along the source citation that
contradicts the erroneous text, so that I can promptly make corrections).
Kalahngan--thank you! Enjoy the site!
